Carmel College is a full member of the South East College's Association (SECA), which also involves 12 other Colleges in the Brisbane region. There are three aspects to SECA Sport at Carmel College:
1: The SECA Sport Seasons
Week to week sport occurs over two seasons for three Thursdays in Term 2 (Season 1) and three Thursdays in Term 3 (Season 2). All students participate in either a sport or an alternative activity and students have their chance to nominate their choices in Term 1. Students participate in one sport or activity for each season.

Alternative activities can vary but include groups participating in things like cooking, dance, art, golf, study, and walking, as well as opportunities for social justice, community service, and environmental groups. Some alternative activities can incur a cost to participate.
2: SECA Gala Days
Some sports are offered as a gala day only. Students can nominate and trial for these sports as they arise throughout the year.

3: SECA Carnivals
Carnival's are held for Swimming (Term 1), Cross Country (Term 2) and Athletics (Term 3), where the best athletes from Carmel College compete against those from other schools in order to be crowned the champion school.
