Pastoral Care at Carmel College is based on belief in the value and uniqueness of the individual. The College’s mission is that each student feels part of the community and has the best possible opportunity for growth. It recognises and encourages the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and social development of each person, to enable them to use their talents.
Pastoral Care Groups
During their time at the College, students will be a part of a Pastoral Care Group that forms the foundation of their day-to-day experiences. They spend time with this core group in the morning before commencement of lessons to foster this welcoming community and allow them to form strong bonds with one another, as well as with their Pastoral Care teacher.
Students are organised into Pastoral Care groups based on the College's house system and will remain in these groups for the entirety of their time at the College.
